SLIIT Helps Students Adapt to New Normal

Due to the pandemic, the higher education environment has been evolving almost daily. For students about to start their journey, it may appear strange getting used to the new reality and adjusting to the new normal. SLIIT has been ahead of the curve at normalizing the situation by speedily initiating changes necessary for maximizing efficiency while respecting the social distancing.

SLIIT is among the first education institutions to adapt online teaching during the pandemic and was able create an impactful online environment for courses and other activities through the introduction of an advanced digital platform.

Even during the transition period after COVID-19, a hybrid method was adapted to enhance the efficiency of learning. This hybrid method was adapted for some subjects while maintaining social distancing to deliver practical lectures. In gearing to the new normal, SLIIT was also successful in organizing its first-ever virtual orientation program for first-year students. This offered students a personal and engaging experience marking the first chapter in their new academic life.
