The Department of Quantity Surveying which is functioned under the Faculty of Engineering powered by highly qualified academically and professionally qualified staff. From its inception, the Department has been headed by both Academically and Professionally qualified Quantity Surveyors.

The Department offers a three-year BSc (Hons) in Quantity Surveying Degree awarded by the Liverpool John Moores University United Kingdom for School leavers after the Advanced Level. It also offers a top-up degree for those who are already practicing in the industry and with an accepted HND/Edexel/SLQF level 4 /NVQ level 6 or equivalent qualification for entrance.

The Quantity Surveying Degree programmes offer students a unique opportunity to collaborate with foreign students and academics in addition to rich blend of knowledge and experience shared by leading Academics and Practitioners from the industry.

SLIIT QS program leads in providing knowledge and hands-on experience in modern day technologies in QS such as BIM (Building Information Modelling) and OST (On Screen Take-off) software, which enable the students to become internationally competitive, resilience and future-proof. Built upon the degree offered in UK, the programme also includes essential local knowledge to assure both local and international relevance of the program. SLIIT QS Students are also eligible to apply for the postgraduate studies scholarship offered by Liverpool John Moores University UK.

Alternatively, the option is also available for those students who are willing to migrate for their studies in Australia after completion of first two years at SLIIT, to continue balance two years of studies at Queensland University of Technology, Australia for Bachelor of Urban Development (Honours), Quantity Surveying and Cost Engineering.

SLIIT has developed strong affiliations with prestigious foreign Universities and Education Institutes and therefore keep on entering into the partnership agreements to offer diversified opportunities for the students.
