Course Description

This course covers the mandatory minimum requirements for the issue of Certificate of Proficiency in Medical First Aid, specified in Regulation VI/4, Para 1 & 3, Section A-VI/4, Para 1-3, Table A-VI/4-1 of the STCW 1978 as amended.
On successful completion of this course, the participants will acquire the necessary knowledge, understanding and proficiency in Medical First Aid to apply immediate First Aid in the event of an accident or illness on board.



Entry Requirements

Participants for this course shall:

  • Be not less than 18 years at the time of commencement of the training programme
  • Have followed a Certificate of Proficiency in Elementary First Aid

All participants should have a valid medical certificate issued in accordance with STCW Reg. 1/9, Section A-1/9.
