Course Description
This course covers the mandatory minimum basic safety training requirements for the issue of a certificate of Refresher and Updating for Proficiency in Personal Safety and Social Responsibilities as set out in Regulation VI/1 Section A-VI/1, Table A-VI/1-4 of the STCW 1978, as amended.
On successful completion of this course, the participants will acquire the necessary knowledge, understanding and proficiency to comply with emergency procedures on board ship, take precautions to prevent pollution of the marine environment, observe safe working practices, understand orders and be understood in relation to shipboard duties and contribute to effective human relationships on board.
Entry Requirements
Participants for this course should :
- Have followed the four basic STCW safety courses in an approved Maritime Training Institute
