Course Description

This is a standalone international qualification that addresses the need for developing ‘Soft Skills’ among teachers. The programme is exclusively offered by Gateway Graduate School (GGS). It is relevant to teachers who are new to the profession and to those who are interested in enhancing their profiles through continuing professional development (CPD). Pearson BTEC Level 4 Professional Award in Soft Skills for Teachers entails 100 hours of total learning and it enables the participants to develop the ‘Soft Skills’ competencies required to carry out teaching across various settings. ‘Soft Skills’ characterizes a set of personal skills that can be helpful in the teaching and learning environment. The programme develops among the learners the critical understanding of the concept of empathy and its applicability to the teaching environment. It also encourages the learners to develop a deep awareness of the professional role of the teacher and the importance of ethical behaviour in promoting the well- being of the student.
