Course Description

This is an essential basic or foundation program for all teachers, trainers, lecturers, counsellors, lawyers, priests, medical and para-medical officers, HR and HRD managers and executives, social and community health workers, police officers, and other professionals and enthusiasts interested in gaining a broad and comprehensive understanding and insight of general psychology with an introductory overview of the various branches of applied psychology. This course will also help you increase your effectiveness in understanding the complex and often unpredictable psycho-social intra-personal and inter-personal dynamics of human behaviour in the family, work and social environment. It will also contribute to your personal self-development, by fostering the ability to better appreciate, evaluate and analyze, empathize, synthesize and communicate with and relate to others more effectively as individuals, in groups and within organisations. Successful completion of this foundation course will also act as a springboard for entry into higher academic or professional Diploma / Advanced or Higher Diploma and Bachelor's Degree level courses of study in Psychology, Social Work, Human Behaviour, Counselling and Psychotherapy.
