Course Description

This course is aimed To make skilled translators and interpreters who can provide effective communication between different cultural and linguistic groups and pave way for a meaningful reconciliation.

Entry Requirements

• Minimum Qualification G C E (O/L) with basic knowledge in the second language. Knowledge of a third language will be advantageous.  (Ex: If the first language is Sinhala then he/she should have basic knowledge in Tamil - similarly if the first language is  Tamil,  he/she should have a working knowledge of Sinhala.  Knowledge of English will be advantageous) For whom Government officers, Clerical Staff, Undergraduates, School leavers, those who are interested in developing linguistic skills as an interpreter and translator, or want to develop oral and writing skills as cross-cultural communicators
