Course Description

UTS Academic English (AE) program is accepted by over 60 International universities and colleges as an alternative for IELTS.  AE program is  very cost effective  and we trust it will become a well sort after program in time to come.

The level of Academic English program students  need to complete will depend on the  university or college IELTS requirements for the particular course they are applying.

Overall IELTS 5.5  -  students must complete AE3

Overall IELTS 6.0  -  Students must complete AE4

Overall IETLS 6.5   - Students must complete AE5

Overall IELTS 7.0   - Students must complete AE6 Advanced plus 

Entry Requirements

For whom

Students who wish to study abroad and having difficulties in meeting the required IELTS Score for Universities and colleges listed.

Students who wish to study at UTS in Sri Lanka but do not meet the English language requirement.

Anyone  who wishes to have a recognized academic English qualification.

Enrolment process

Students who want to follow the Academic English program are required to sit for a placement test. This test is free.

Based on the test score they will be placed to the appropriate AE level.
